Community Empowerment
The backbone of FOCEI as an organization is the commitment to community empowerment to bridge the disparities between rural and urban areas. Globally, people in rural areas lack access to modern energy services, which affects productivity, educational and health services, exacerbating poverty, among other things. It is, therefore imperative that any development programmes undertaken in the country must involve the vast rural populace to maximize the impact of poverty.
FOCEI realizes this fact and has been collaborating and partnering with various donors’ agencies and International Non-Governmental Organizations and striving hard to drive change at the grassroots in various communities. The idea has been to build the capacities of rural communities and identify agents of change from those communities itself.
We have empowered several Women, Youth and Children’s in various communities.
Environment
We advocate various actions and policies in the interest of protecting what nature remains in the natural environment or restoring or expanding the role of nature in this environment. While true wilderness is increasingly rare, wild nature (e.g., unmanaged forests, uncultivated grasslands, wildlife, wildflowers) can be found in many locations previously inhabited by humans.
Our goals at FOCEI is for the benefit of people and natural systems, commonly expressed by environmental scientists and environmentalists include: Elimination of pollution and toxicants in air, water, soil, buildings, manufactured goods, and food and preservation of biodiversity and protection of endangered species and Conservation with sustainable use of resources such as water land, air, energy, raw materials, and natural resources.
Currently at FOCEI we are carrying out Tree Planting Campaigns in some selected schools
Gender Equality
Domination gender in extractive industry, present key limitations for sustainable leadership opportunities and career growth for women at FOCEI we identify these existing barriers and addressing necessary actions to be taken to promote gender equality and reduced existing gap between male and female gender.
